Designed by Alert 5 Design Studio, the F-16 Cockpit Plans provide a highly detailed, modular foundation for builders looking to create an accurate and immersive Viper simulator. These plans are the result of extensive research, prototyping, and real-world fabrication experience, refined to balance realism with practical home-build construction methods.
Version 2 represents a major expansion of the original design and is being released in an early-access format. All existing customers will receive the update automatically, and all new orders will include Version 2 going forward.
What’s New in Version 2
Version 2 significantly expands the digital deliverables, adding over 50 new 3D-printable part files designed to integrate directly with the existing cockpit structure.
New additions include:

3D-printed DZUS rails and newly redesigned modular consoles, allowing builders to adapt the cockpit to different F-16 blocks or personal preferences

Detailed 3D-print skin panel STL files for enhanced visual realism

These parts are designed to complement the existing CAD framework while giving builders more flexibility, fidelity, and customization options.

Frame Options
- Standard Frame: Designed around realistic F-16 proportions and suitable for builders approximately 5’4″ to 6’0″.
Footprint: 73inx52in (184cm x 130cm)
- XL Frame: Modified ergonomics and expanded dimensions to accommodate taller builders (up to approximately 6’8″) while preserving correct layout and sightlines.
Footprint: 76inx52in (192cm x 130cm)
These plans are ideal for builders who want a professional-grade foundation while retaining the flexibility to fabricate, modify, and expand over time. As with all Alert 5 Design Studio projects, Version 2 will continue to receive iterative updates and long-term support.

Great Product - Could use a little cleanup
So far, the product has been great! I love the attention to detail. I do wish the files had the dimensions in them for working in CAD programs rather than me having to calculate them by hand but otherwise great.
However, I haven't been able to cut it out on our CNC just yet due to how the dxf files are loaded into Fusion360. There appears to be a lot of points which is normal but there is so many that the application fails to load and runs out of i'm assuming memory which is odd given I have 128GB RAM and a 3050 on this computer. So i've been trying to load the files and then remove the points that aren't needed and reload the files to make them more efficent. I'm not sure if this is a problem from their end or just me being new to dxf and cnc stuff so I don't consider this worth lowering the rating from a 5 star because it could just be me doing something wrong.
Outstanding
Bought the F-16 plans in September and could not of been happier. I did not have access to a CNC machine so I printed the templates per Invictus instructions and was able to cut everything by hand and assemble with ease. Chris at Invictus was incredibly helpful throughout the process and I was very impressed with the quality and accuracy of the build. If you are serious about building a cockpit I would absolutely recommend these plans.

Easy purchase process and quick download (had a small delay in processing the file, but it solved itself in a few minutes).
Plans look great, clear instructions and nice .stl files to 3d print the necessary parts. I wish they would have come with a seat plan
