Built to Specification. Not to a Price Point.
Every panel in the Invictus Cockpit Systems lineup begins the same way: with the actual dimensional data of the aircraft it replicates. Not a photograph. Not an approximation. The geometry, cutout placement, fastener spacing, and surface area are derived from reference documentation so that what arrives at your bench installs and looks exactly like the panel it was designed to represent.
That commitment to accuracy carries through every layer of construction.
Construction
Backplate
The structural foundation of every panel is a precision-cut aluminum backplate — the same material used in the actual aircraft. Aluminum provides the rigidity that plastic alternatives cannot, and it means your panel will not warp, flex, or degrade over time.
Light Plate
The light plate is machined from custom-blended acrylic formulated specifically for our backlit panel applications. The blend is tuned to diffuse light evenly across the panel face while rendering legend text and markings with the sharpness and color accuracy that MIL-SPEC documentation demands. Off-the-shelf acrylic cannot achieve this — the custom acrylic matters.
Paint
All panels are finished in MIL-SPEC paint matched to federal standard specifications. This is not rattle-can flat black. MIL-SPEC coatings are formulated for adhesion, UV resistance, and a surface texture that reads correctly under cockpit lighting conditions — the same conditions your sim panel will live in.
Backlighting PCB
Each panel ships with a purpose-built backlighting PCB populated and installed. The board is designed to deliver consistent, even illumination across the full panel face with no hot spots, and is engineered to integrate directly with the Invictus AIM Network — the same network architecture that ties your entire cockpit together.
Fasteners
Standard Configuration — Stainless Steel Faux Dzus Studs
Every base panel ships with stainless steel faux dzus studs that replicate the profile and spacing of the original quarter-turn fasteners. Stainless steel over the plastic fasteners used elsewhere means the correct surface finish, the correct light reflection, and the correct tactile quality when your hands are on the panel. 6-32 screws anchor the panel to your consoles securely without the added expense of authentic dzus rails.
Upgrade — Authentic Dzus Fasteners
For builders who require complete hardware authenticity, authentic dzus quarter-turn fasteners are available as a panel upgrade. These are the same fasteners used in aerospace panel assemblies — functional, correctly profiled, and correct in every detail that matters to the eye and the hand.
Switches
Switch selection is where fidelity meets function. Invictus offers three tiers depending on your build goals and budget.
No Switches — Base Panel
The base panel configuration ships without switches installed, making it the right choice for builders integrating their own hardware, repurposing existing switches from another build, or completing a phased build where avionics will be added later.
Standard Switches
Standard-grade switches provide reliable, functional operation for everyday sim use. Correctly positioned per panel specification with appropriate actuator profiles. The right choice for builders prioritizing value and function over hardware fidelity.
Mid-Grade Switches
Invictus mid-grade switches are carefully specified and, where applicable, purpose-sourced to closely replicate the operating characteristics of the authentic aircraft switches they replace. The goal here is not just a switch in the right hole, but a switch that operates the way the real one does. For builders who interact with their cockpit with their hands as much as their eyes, this distinction is meaningful.
MIL-SPEC Switches — Custom Quote
Full MIL-SPEC switch specifications are available on select panels by custom quote. Contact Invictus Cockpit Systems directly to discuss your requirements.
Invictus AIM Network Integration
All Invictus panels are designed from the ground up to integrate with the Invictus AIM Network — the purpose-built communications architecture that connects every panel, backlight zone, and input in your cockpit into a single, coordinated system. Rather than managing a tangle of individual USB devices, the AIM Network treats your cockpit as what it is: a unified instrument system. Panel backlighting, switch inputs, and future avionics integration are all addressed through a single network topology designed specifically for high-fidelity home cockpit builds.
Who This Is For
Invictus panels are built for the builder who has stopped tolerating compromise. If you have spent time with printed acrylic overlays, plastic fasteners, and commodity switches and found them wanting — this is the alternative. If you are building a cockpit that needs to survive years of daily use, look correct under proper cockpit lighting, and feel right when your hands are on it — this is the hardware.
If you are newer to the sim hardware space and unsure which configuration is right for your build, the Invictus team is available to help you spec your panels correctly before you order.

Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Returns
Invictus Cockpit Systems is a small, one-man operation. While I do make an effort to ship quickly, unless an item is listed as in stock, it may be made to order. If you have any questions about the availibility of a product, please Contact Us.
If you need to return a product, please visit the returns section on your account and request a return authorization.
Dimensions
Dimensions
All of our cockpit panels are made true to the specifications outlined in Military Standards MS25212C. Most panels are 5.75" wide (146.05 mm) and the height is measured in multiples of .375" (9.53mm). Refer to the attached datasheet for specifics.
Care Instructions
Care Instructions
All of our panels are coated with aerospace grade milispec paint. It is highly durable. We recommend cleaning with a clean, damp cloth. For more stubborn stains, isopropyl alcohol is a good, safe solvent. Do not use other solvents like acetone or lacquer thinner as they may damage the finish and void your warranty.
